Banks Lake, Georgia
Our visit to Banks Lake in March was very chilly, in the 20s and 30s, and stunning. We wanted to visit some Cyprus lakes in the hopes of also photographing egrets and other wading birds in the habitat. The environment, especially in the dawn, dusk, or golden light is so photogenic, just begging to be photographed. Unfortunately to our surprise, there just wasn’t much wildlife around. We celebrated Ray’s birthday here and had multiple paddles around the lake, and I did manage a few images of Great Egrets and the environment that I’m very satisfied with. It was also just an incredible experience paddling around the lake. Peaceful, serene, glorious. (Click to see photos full size)
