George L. Smith State Park
Our next stop on the cypress lake tour was to George L Smith State Park, just under 2 hours from Hilton Head Island. A wonderful location for kayaking and camping, and a quick getaway. Once again we were surprised not to see many wading birds throughout the lake, but we did see many Northern Parulas! The environment around these Cypress Lakes is just so beautiful it’s hard not to enjoy. (Click to see photos full size)
