Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Michigan
After crossing the boarding from Canada back into the US, we did a bunch of driving and then made it to Michigan. Thanks to a recommendation from a few Facebook friends, we decided to stop at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and man are we glad we did!!! What an absolutely stunning place to visit! We had no idea the waters of Lake Superior could be so turquoise! Shocking in the best way! We decided to do a 12 mile hike here, which was a beautiful way to explore the coast. The only problem was that I was wearing brand new hiking shoes… After about mile one I was ready to take them off… I waited a while but a few miles in, I took off my hikers and did probably half the hike in my socks! And the last few miles it was pouring rain… Still and epically gorgeous day! (Click to see photos full size)
